How Fragile we Are

‘If this were an art exhibit set to music, ‘Fragile’ by Sting, my personal favourite, would be playing in the background. The song is brief and powerful, much like this new body of work. Sting offers a repetitive reminder of human fragility in his deceptively simple lyrics. Moved by a senseless political murder in Nicaragua, he wrote the song as an ode to non-violence. In the same way, this limited collection explores and documents the stark fragility of humankind. I created it with a slow, mindful determination. Each piece is reflective, poignant and perfectly composed. And lest we forget, each piece is a powerful reminder of how fragile we are.’
